IRC Nickname: Exacerangutan

Character Name: Jacqueline "Jackal" Egret
Original Dimension: Zone of the Enders

Race: Martian Human
ISF Rank: Field Marshal
Age: 45
Sex: Female
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 150lbs
Likes: military accomplishment; piloting; good soldiers; field rations
Dislikes: slackers; romantic, unrealistic ideas; dealing with civilians; mistreatment of civilians

Physical Description (Or picture):
Jackal is moderately dark-skinned with bright red hair and naturally aquamarine eyes, although her right eye has been replaced with a prosthetic, which has a steel-gray iris she has never bothered to replace with one of her natural color. She has kept herself in exceptionally good athletic condition, always pushing her physical limits. She also has many scars from injuries during combat operations; most of these are not visible, but there is a large burn scar across the right side of her face from her temple down to her shoulder.

Powers and Special Abilities:
Jackal has no supernatural powers, but is a highly-trained, veteran special operations soldier now with decades of field and command experience. Her specialties are piloting and marksmanship, although she hasn't operated in the field in a long time. Her right eye is prosthetic, and supplies her with a bidirectional neural-interface data bus which essentially projects a HUD onto her field of vision and allows her to quickly input data. This data bus is connected to the Imaginos mainframe in the same way as any other personal portable data device.

Weapons and Gear:
Jackal mostly uses ISF-standard weapons, much of which she had a hand in designing, having been the organization's first fully trained and field-experienced military adviser. She almost always wears her sidearm, a high-caliber pistol.

Jackal also still operates Heru, an experimental 3rd-generation orbital frame with heightened systems-replication and refinement abilities. Heru has copied a number of technologies encountered in the field over the last 20 years, and has continually refined its physical attributes; it has also used analysis of various dimensional travel technologies to complete the refinement of its Zero-Shift Beta space-folding system, allowing it to teleport over great distances in a manner somewhat like Anubis. This gives Heru tremendous mobility in addition to its formidable offensive and defensive armament, making it an excellent field command platform.

Weaknesses:
No supernatural weaknesses. She does have trouble comprehending what goes on in the heads of civilians, and many aspects of civilian social interaction can confuse and enrage her.

Background:
Jackal grew up on another dimension's Mars in the period after its liberation from Earth, the daughter of two heroes of the War of Liberation, always surrounded by military officers. She grew up wanting nothing more than to become a combat pilot, and through determination, talent, and her father's grudging training, she earned early entry into the Martian Space Force Academy, graduated with honors and an advance-commission to Lieutenant, and immediately applied to join the MSF Special Operations Division, or "Red Knights." Over the next few years she engaged in numerous missions with the elite combat force.

Jackal's MSFSOD missions culminated in a raid against a secret R&D station run by fragments of the old BAHRAM paramilitary group; forced to destroy the base from the inside, Jackal confiscated the prototype 3rd-generation Orbital Frame called Heru, and used its experimental advanced Zero Shift system in an attempt to teleport out of the exploding station. However, the system was incomplete and malfunctioned, hurling the Frame across the void between dimensions until it came to rest in Dimension 010 two years before the establishment of Imaginos. Recovered by Axel Field, Jackal joined the Warchief II as a security officer, and after the creation of the Imaginos Organization, assisted Field as his first chief military adviser and became commander of the Mecha Corps which she organized.

Since that time, Jackal's role has grown with the organization's increased militarization and greater involvement in a larger operational theater. She has served as a top military adviser to the young System Alliance, and has commanded a number of highly successful missions. Most famously, she personally led the commando strike Operation: Counter-Gambit (more commonly called "Egret's Gambit") against the Skylark, which forced the Concern to abandon its aggressive posture in the First Interdimensional War; however, she was seriously injured in this operation in a near-miss by heavy weapons fire, and lost her right eye. When it was replaced, she opted not to bother waiting for the cyberneticians to carry out an iris-matching procedure and accepted a prosthetic eye with an uncalibrated (gray) iris. She has never bothered to have the eye calibrated.

Since the First Interdimensional War, Jackal has been maintaining a state of preparedness for future hostilities, often to the frustration of people who consider it wasted effort and typical military hyperaggressive paranoia. She stubbornly has kept the Mecha Corps in fighting trim and campaigned fiercely to assure sufficient funding of military R&D, but has also worked to make certain that the Brahm Endbringer Cannonade was kept securely under military strategic control and tight security.
