Special Report: Victory in Salina! The Alliance routs the Concern

SALINA, KANSAS, CONCERN-EARTH: The soldiers of the System Alliance stand tall near the Macrocosmic Concern's tertiary base of operations on the 21st of September in Salina. The SA's 52nd Mechanized Combat Unit, the "Scythe of Ceres", routed the Concern's forces in a decisive battle that only lasted eighteen hours. The Concern's forces were trapped within the sprawling compound surrounding the city limits and were effectively cut off from supplies and external communications by the Alliance's Communication Officers.

"It took us three straight weeks of jamming their tech with our Geo-Mags before they were weak enough to be overtaken without much resistance," remarked Alliance Captain Clifford Mimieux of Shangri-La. "We took the targets out as soon as their pylons fell. After taking each pylon out, it was just a matter of sweeping each section of their compound."

This victory for the Alliance completes the double pincer and encirclement of the Concern's primary headquarters in Colorado Springs.

"It's now only a matter of time," commented the Alliance Brigadier General Weixing Ning during a press conference. "We're estimating a surrender of the Concern's remaining forces soon. Solomon and Avian are on the losing side of this war of attrition."
