Information/Speculation thread on diamond intruder

The diamond intruder, at least in the form we have seen is 40m tall and can spawn as many as 6 smaller clusters of combat capable units.

They utilize laser weapons, and are somewhat immune to our lasers, so the solid-shot weapons developed by Dr. Voralis are suggested as standard loadout when engaging. A single full volley of fire from 5 of the combat drones is capable of completely depleting avatar shielding, so be advised to keep evasive manuevers up at all times while engaging.

Autofire weapons and area-saturation weapons like the multiple launch rocket system that was developed in cooperation between myself and Dr. Voralis are extremely effective, however care should be used to avoid possible friendly-fire issues as these are dumbfire weapons.

Given the small size and superior manuverability of the aggressive diamond intruder drones, it is recommended distance is kept and multiple angles of fire, and a high rate of overall fire is the key to annihilation of the drone clusters.

Watch for different-colored drones as well, these tend to be control units and if destroyed will cause a chain reaction terminating an entire cluster of enemy drones.

The diamond intruder can also override comm systems and if in close with them (under 50 meters) there is the possibility of actual mind or brain-scanning, although Mr. or Dr. Dyse is working on a countermeasure for this particular ability, we should be aware of this and unless we're engaged in a friendly contact mission, attempt to keep out of ranges closer than 250 meters unless ordered otherwise.
