Powers and Special Abilities: Zzyzx's muscular body, made more so by many years of war, makes him very strong and resilient to harm. He has been training near-constantly for combat since he was old enough to stand, and is trained specifically in the use of one or two Type-01 Energy Weapons ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Energy_Sword ), one or two Type-25 Directed Energy Rifles ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Plasma_Rifle ), the Type-51 Carbine ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Covenant_Carbine ) and the Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Needler ), though can adapt to other weapon systems easily, though quite begrudgingly. He is also a skilled field strategist, though prefers to leave the planning to people who won't be the head of the charge.

Weapons and Gear: Will arrive with a single energy sword, fixed to his chest, a covenant carbine, fixed to his back, and a pair of plasma rifles, fixed to either hip.

Weaknesses: He is a mortal, albeit alien, and can be wounded and die. He may react poorly to disease and infection that is alien to him. He also possesses cultural weaknesses such as his to-the-death adherence to his personal code of honor, his belief that if a weapon is drawn, it must spill blood and his distaste for doctors and for visiting doctors, due to the belief that the only honorable injury is in battle (doctors are seen as spilling blood dishonorably), and this stigmata carries over to visiting doctors as well.

Background: Prior to the events of the first Halo game, Zzyzx earned the rank of Zealot upon the fall of the human colony planet Reach, where he personally defeated and killed SPARTAN-II Joshua-029 in unarmed, hand-to-hand combat, giving him an honorable death by Sangheili rules; leaving him with a swift death and the prayer "Though you leave this world, you will come on the Great Journey when the time comes. Die with honor." His first task as Zealot was as a Field Leader under Ship Master and Special Operations Commander Rtas 'Vadumee ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Rtas_%27Vadumee ), in the battle for the Alpha Halo, Installation 04, ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Installation_04 ) which was destroyed by the the SPARTAN II known as 'Master Chief'. He was also a field commander in the invasion of Earth, specifically the battle of New Mombasa ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/New_Mombassa ) as part of the Prophet of Regret's ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Prophet_of_Regret ) contingent to find the Ark ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Ark ). When the Prophet of Truth ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Prophet_of_Truth ) ordered the genocide and replacement of the Sangheili by the Jiralhanae ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Brute ), he helped rally his Sangheili brothers under Rtas and the Arbiter ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Arbiter ) to rebel against the Covenant in the Great Schism ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Covenant_Civil_War ) and was a large part of the Battle aboard the Ark. His most recent mission was investigating a Forerunner ( http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Forerunner ) artifact with the aid of a human military contingent, when they were attacked by a number of Loyalist Brutes.
